[Lyric of the Moment] Starbright
Come home to your place,
I’ve got a little while,
Till I’ve gotta leave,
You know there’s been times,
Where I couldn’t lie to your face,
But right now I’m looking at you,
Through the window of your soul,
I know those little dark holes are beautiful,
But I, I hear the words I should be saying,
I just wish that you could know,
I just think that you should know.
That your star is so bright,
I can see your core,
And you light up my life,
So I can see more,
I don’t care if you’re lost,
Or you’re scared,
Or you never, ever,
Never, ever wanna be friends.
There’s a small step outside your place,
I’ve got a little wine,
So I can taste all the bittersweet times,
That I have felt again,
But it’s not too late to repair myself,
From the damage done,
Since I’ve been gone,
And I know,
I see the snow,
It starts to fall down,
I just think that I should go.
‘Cause your star is so bright,
I can see your core,
And you light up my life,
So I can see more,
I don’t care if you’re lost,
Or you’re scared,
Or you never, ever,
Never, ever wanna be friends.
Please, please belong here,
Please, please belong here,
Please, please belong here,
Belong here,
You love me, you love me.

[Lyric of the Moment] Pull My Heart Away
I'm ripping your posters off the wall,
I'm moving the boxes into the hall,
I stop when I hear a drum beat call,
Must be a sign, it is time.
I need to take myself away,
From the pillowed hand,
On which I stand,
and throw me out of the side of a plane,
And I'll just see where I land.
I will have to pull my heart away,
Cause if I never leave,
I'll ruin yesterday.
It's not like my feet are stuck to the floor,
It's not like i'm wanting to know about the door,
I want you to throw my shoes in the fire,
And I'll watch the souls burn,
on the funeral fire linen.
Over and an end,
Change my position,
Nobody's listening,
and thats easy for me,
and it's better for the soul,
and it's better for you,
and it's better for all.
I will have to pull my heart away,
Cause if I never leave I'll ruin yesterday.
I'm over with words,
I'm moving in lines,
And all I put,
Jump up inside,
And jump off the side.
I will have to pull my heart away.

Couldn't Have Said It Any Better

“Can’t let the foolish post about Roddick’s supposed lack of maturity pass. Roddick’s “yeah, but you already won five” remark is a sign of the man’s humanity–his sense of humor and perspective in the most trying of circumstances, his refreshing refusal to be canned instead of candid.
Roddick has always been a great sport and has always taken the most heartbreaking of defeats like a man, as he himself has put it. Roddick has always given Federer his due. He is a courageous athlete.
Classy as Federer is, it’s easier to be so when you usually win. I recall his refusing to shake the umpire’s hand after a loss earlier this year, violating a basic tenet of sportsmanship. Was that a sign of maturity? Also, let’s face it: we all give Roger a pass on the enormous self-regard he routinely displays in interviews, something that has always struck me as smacking a bit of vanity and immaturity.
And when Federer refuses to give a winning opponent his full due, as he used to with Nadal and still does with Murray–well, that doesn’t strike me as very mature.”

Nevertheless, congratulations go to Federer for having earned #15. Both men did the sport proud today.

[Lyric of the Week] Run
[Breathtaking performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5ZQJoxae4o&fmt=18 ]
I’ll sing it one last time for you,
Then we really have to go,
You’ve been the only thing that’s right,
In all I’ve done.
And I can barely look at you,
But every single time I do,
I know we’ll make it anywhere,
Away from here.
Light up, light up,
As if you have a choice,
Even if you cannot hear my voice,
I’ll be right beside you dear.
Louder louder,
And we’ll run for our lives,
I can hardly speak I understand,
Why you can’t raise your voice to say.
To think I might not see those eyes,
Makes it so hard not to cry,
And as we say our long goodbye,
I nearly do.
Light up, light up,
As if you have a choice,
Even if you cannot hear my voice,
I’ll be right beside you dear.
Louder louder,
And we’ll run for our lives,
I can hardly speak I understand,
Why you can’t raise your voice to say.

[Lyric of the Week] Black Magic
There is a crescent key
that locks a hole in the door
into the pit of your heart
the future is the reward
white light my time has come
all night out on the run from black magic
black magic
black
black magic
Give me the final piece
that holds the puzzles end
of all the billions of stars
that are the dreams of your friends
how could anybody feel the same
how could anybody feel the same
black magic
black magic
black
black magic
black
black magic
black
black magic
huh!
It is the person’s eyes
that have the answers in
around the galaxy mars
a new place to begin
white light my time has come
all night out on the run
from black magic
black magic
black
black magic
black
black magic
black
black magic

[Lyric of the Week] Consequence
You’re the colour,
you’re the movement and the spin.
Could it stay with me the whole day long?
Fail with consequence, lose with eloquence,
and smile.
I’m not in this movie,
I’m not in this song.
Never,
Leave me paralyzed, love.
Leave me hypnotized, love.
You’re the colour,
you’re the movement and the spin.
Could it stay with me the whole day long?
Fail with consequence, lose with eloquence,
and smile.
You’re not in this movie,
You’re not in this song.
Never,
Leave me paralyzed, love.
Leave me hypnotized, love.
Leave me paralyzed, love.
Leave me hypnotized, love.

[Lyric of the Week] Jet Sex
Here is the time for us to know,
a secret sky for us to go,
You’ve never been before, oh no.
A jumbo jet, just you and me,
no parachute, it’s pilot free.
I guess it’s time to go, oh no.
Don’t be shy, say goodbye,
let’s find out if heaven is a lie.
Never let me go.
I’ll never let you fall.
Above the clouds, above them all,
we draw the lines with smoke and coke.
But then you want some more.
Sex turbulences, seats D and B,
we drop our love bomb full of c.
Then we watch them fall, never.
The more we fly, the more we climb,
the more we know that heaven is a lie.
Never let me go.
I’ll never let you fall.

[Lyric of the Week] Under My Umbrella
When I close my eyes,
I can see for miles,
There’s comfort in my dark seat,
And chaos in the aisles.
These eyes are not your eyes,
And these eyes are not the color that,
Your arid eyes might be.
No, I was not around,
When those eyes of yours decided so,
I refuse to kneel before the sights you choose to see.
When I close my eyes,
I remember why I smile,
Under my umbrella,
I’m an accomplished exile,
These eyes are not your eyes,
And these eyes are not the color that,
Your arid eyes might be.
No, I was not around,
When those eyes of yours decided so,
I refuse to kneel before the sights you choose to see.
If this is right, I’d rather be wrong.
If this is sight, I’d rather be blind.
These eyes are not your eyes,
And these eyes are not the color that,
Your arid eyes might be.
No, I was not around,
When those eyes of yours decided so,
I refuse to kneel before the sights you choose to see.
If this is right, I’d rather be wrong.
If this is sight, I’d rather be blind.

[Lyric of the Week] Ache
Isn’t it strange, the way things can change,
The life that you lead, turned on it’s head,
Suddenly someone, means more than you felt before,
House and its yard, turns into home.
I’m sorry but I meant to say, many things along the way, so this one’s for you.
Have I told you I ache, have I told you I ache,
Have I told you I ache, for you?
Have I told you I ache, and I hope it’s not too late,
Can I hold you and ache, for you?
The time that it took, writing words for my book,
seems to have broken off.
The gate that I shut,
last time I got hurt,
seems to have opened itself,
Oh the world it’s spinnin’ now,
it’s tryin’ catch me up,
tell me to appreciate, here and now,
I’m sorry but I meant to say,
so many things along the way,
so this one’s for you.
Have I told you I ache, Have I told you I ache, have I told you I ache, for you?
Have I told you I ache, and I hope it’s not too late, can I hold you and ache, for you?

[Lyric of the Week] Hot Thing
She cold blooded,
I love how we meltin’ the ice,
She like the sunshine of my life,
Cuz all I see is a hot thing,
You’re my hot thing,
…
You keep my dark sky lit up at night,
So bright that you blinding my sight,
Cuz all I see is a hot thing,
And you’re my hot thing,
…
Word, somebody like a flick,
It got surprisin’ twists,
I write the script,
The main character - your thighs and hips,
Award for best supporting role go to your eyes and lips,
The way you move your body got ‘em stiff like a hieroglyph,
I watched you dance across the floor to the title track,
You ‘bout to get me “Off The Wall” like you Michael Jack,’
I make a scribe in your beauty my sacred duty,
I will write a song, write a book, write a play, make a movie,
Good love you a sexy thing,
And all I’m sayin’ is you got something I like,
Love that you like it…
Yo, I love your country ass,
I love your city sass,
I love how your normal ways; you catch on pretty fast,
These dudes are pretty crass,
Harass you in your past,
I love how you snap back and get the last laugh,
I love the way your crib smell like Votivo candle incense,
The white voice you use on the phone when you handle business,
I love it when you freaky,
I love when you a lady,
Rockin’ door knockers from the late 80s, raisin’ babies,
I love her; god bless you,
Your body somethin’ special,
I love to play connect the dots with your facial freckles,
No need for fashion policin’ because I love your style,
Whatever happen to Shanice, baby I love your smile?
I might be fallin’ in love, should I let her know?
A pimp told me if I love her I should let her go,
I sing her praises every time they play this instrumental,
Cuz she instrumental to my life.
I love how we meltin’ the ice,
You like the sunshine of my life,
Cuz all I see is a hot thing,
You’re my hot thing,
…
Word, you keep my dark sky lit up at night,
So bright that you blinding my sight,
Cuz all I see is a hot thing,
And you’re my hot thing,
…
Word, lemme take you by the hand,
You need to tell your man, “Don’t fight it, damn,”
Have you groupied out like excited fans,
I promise you’ll be climbing walls like Spider-Man,
Knees buckling you’ll hit the floor when you try to stand,
So you drop it like it’s hot - oh so heavy,
You and me we can leave now - we can go steady,
How about we be jetty cuz I’m so ready to bounce like a ‘64 Chevy.
